Magical Girl Applejack~ (line art)

So I love Puella Magi Madoka Magica and MLP. I started thinking of MLP characters as being really good opportunity for a magical girl story like Madoka Magica, so I made my first line art on this idea. I'll be doing a couple of these over the next few weeks and then maybe a comic if I get good at it.

Do you think I did well with AppleJack? I know that the outfit isn't that "magical girl" but I thought that Applejacks character would have something more practical and simple. I forgot her weapon in this picture but I might add it when I color this. She is going to have a bo-staff.
